LLC "Scientific production union Sobskii fish farm" was commissioned in the year of Ecology, in March 2017.
It is located on the territory of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, town. Harp Priuralsky district, on the banks of the river Sob.
The Soba hatchery is the only enterprise specializing in the artificial reproduction of aquatic biological resources by the enterprise in the Arctic region of Russia.
The territorial location of the plant predetermines the specific nature of its activities, namely the artificial reproduction of mainly valuable whitefish species (muksun, chi and peled) in order to compensate for damage caused to economic activities of business entities to aquatic biological resources within the Ob- Irtyshsky water bodies fishery basin. Technological equipment has no analogues and allows, in conditions of closed water supply in the basins, to cultivate up to different weights viable young fish in order to release it into natural water bodies.
The plant is equipped with 685 incubators and 180 swimming pools. The technologies used at the plant are designed to grow juveniles of whitefish species of fish to different weights, the main of which are weights - 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 10 grams. At the plant, broodstocks of muksun and sterlet are formed to obtain the future of fish planting material. "
